When The Exorcist was re-released in 1998, the director William Friedkin was asked if he believed in demonic possession. He answered: "Yes, actually, I do. I can think of no other explanation for what happened in Germany in the 1930's".

The sad fact is that many people would agree with this assertion. Which is why we have a prison system. Instead of a rehabilitation system. Sorry, I'm a dirty liberal!

i remember not been able to sleep with the lights off for many weeks after i saw that movie as a child, something that i shouldn't have done until much, much later in life.
