Body art

There are some magnificent body scultures appearing on top of buildings in London at the moment. These are by the artist Antony Gormley, who is famous for the Angel of the North sculpture, on the A1 road in Tyneside.

Walking to work this morning I saw half a dozen of these perched on top of buildings. The ones I saw were one on top of the National Film Theatre, Kings College London, the National Theatre, Shell Centre, the Hayward Gallery, and I was pleased to see one atop the IBM South Bank building too.

It looks like some aliens have landed, and are observing London's worker ants scurrying to work. There was one outside the Royal Festival Hall who has come down to street level for a closer look.
