Art, not politics

In an interview in German newspaper "Welt am Sonntag", Bryan Ferry said: "My God, the Nazis knew how to put themselves in the limelight and present themselves. Leni Riefenstahl's movies and Albert Speer's buildings and the mass parades and the flags - just amazing. Really beautiful."

Ferry apologised for the offence caused by these comments, reinforcing that they "were made solely from an art history perspective" and stating that he finds "the Nazi regime, and all it stood for, evil and abhorrent". He also said that he was very upset over this incident.

Since we won't be seeing any more of the Ferry Marks & Spencer ads, perhaps he might consider modelling for Hugo Boss. The founder, Herr Hugo Boss, designed the uniforms for the SS.
